Time to Sell Your House: 40% of Homeowners Think So!

sell houseGood Time to Sell Your House

According to Fannie Mae's housing survey, 40% of homeowners think it is a good time to sell your house. That is a much better statistic than a few years ago! What's even better is that 76% of homeowners think it is a good time to buy a house. The housing market seems to be going in the right direction. The big question is "how long will it be a good time to sell your house?"

Fannie Mae's Housing Survey

Here is the link to Fannie Mae's "Monthly National Housing Survey", so you can see for yourself. If you've been waiting for the market to change, it has. And the only indicator that we see changing is interest rates. The more interest rates go up, the less house a home buyer can afford. So, if you want to get the most out of selling your house, now is the time. Interest rates skyrocketed last week. Who knows how high they will go? None of us.

Your Situation

No matter what your situation, if you've been waiting on the sidelines to sell your house, you should consider the facts. Housing is strong right now. Things could change quickly. Is this another bubble? If it's just a matter of "when" you are selling your home, then please read the housing survey. It is a great indicator of where we are right now.

Timing is Right

It's been so long since we've seen a strong housing market that I can only assume all of us who have been waiting to sell a house, now see a golden opportunity. Because the future is rocky as far as interest rates, the timing is right to sell your house and reap the rewards and put the cash in your pocket.
