Selling Your Home As Is

sell house as is

You can sell your home as is, meaning no repairs, no remodeling, no headaches. You typically need a cash buyer to do that. Especially, if you want to sell your home quickly, too. Usually, you want both of those things happen at the same time.

Selling your home as-is is easy.

The selling process can be very easy, if you allow it to be. Often, sellers make the biggest mistakes when they aren't willing to meet buyers in the middle. I especially like to compromise with sellers, meeting them in the middle. That way, we both walk away happy and feeling like we completed the sale together.

What does As Is mean exactly?

Selling as is means that you, the seller, aren't responsible for making any repairs prior to escrow closing. As long as you tell the new owner what you know to be wrong with the house, you are in good shape. The only issue I ever have is when someone doesn't tell me all about the house. I always assure sellers, I'm still going to buy the house, I just need to know what to expect. And it's that simple.

As Is May Mean All Cash, Too

If the repairs that are needed are major, a bank may not lend on the house. That's why an all cash offer can make a lot of sense. Simply, there will be no loan and no qualifying. Even better, no contingencies and no falling out of escrow. Warning: Some cash buyers will still NOT close escrow. Read my blog on Real Estate Investors are NOT all the same. I close my escrows, that's all I have to say about that.

Cash Means Fast. Cash Means Quick.

Selling your house for cash means you also get the benefit of a fast escrow. All you wanted was to sell your house as is and you get cash and you get it fast.
